This training aims to further develop subject knowledge and leadership skills to improve mathematics planning and teaching, enabling raised pupil achievement and progress. Sessions will allow Maths Leaders the opportunity to discuss their common challenges/successes and have dedicated time to focus on key areas.
Agendas and any items to bring will be sent out prior to each session to respond to local/national initiatives and specific needs and requests of schools, collectively.
There will be gap tasks each term and maths leaders will have the chance to feedback and discuss outcomes in subsequent meetings. Possible themes across the year include analysis of data and addressing implications from the 2025 SATs, updates on national initiatives such as Ofsted/STA/EEF, plus specific mathematics curriculum foci – pedagogy, pupil learning and teacher learning.
