Maths Leaders’ Termly Training in Kettering

This training aims to further develop subject knowledge and leadership skills to improve mathematics planning and teaching, enabling raised pupil achievement and progress. Sessions will allow Maths Leaders the opportunity to discuss their common challenges/successes and have dedicated time to focus on key areas.

Agendas and any items to bring will be sent out prior to each session to respond to local/national initiatives and specific needs and requests of schools, collectively. There will be gap tasks each term and maths leaders will have the chance to feedback and discuss outcomes in subsequent meetings.

• Use of hard and soft data to support focused action planning
• Addressing implications from the 2025 SATs
• Identifying and devising training and support needs in school
• Monitoring cycle – effective ways to monitor, what to look for and how to feedback to staff and senior leaders, including governors
• Updates on national initiatives such as Ofsted/STA/EEF
• Evaluation process and next steps
